Budget forecasting

See if you'll overspend — before you do.

ClearPace projects each budget category forward using your real spending pace and recurring commitments. Spot pressure early, while you still have time to adjust.

Why budgets fail when they only show past spending

Most budget apps tell you what already happened: "you spent €320 on groceries this month." That's useful in hindsight, but not when there are still ten days to go. By the time the number looks bad, the money's already spent. A budget that only looks backward isn't a plan — it's a receipt.

How budget forecasting works

ClearPace uses three honest signals: how much you've spent in this category so far, how many days are left in the period, and the recurring payments still to clear. From those, it projects where the category will land at the end of the period — and flags the ones heading over.

  • Spending pace vs days remaining
  • End-of-period projection per category
  • Quiet flag on categories trending over
  • Confirmation when a category is on track

Daily allowance to stay on track

For each category, ClearPace shows the daily amount that would keep you within budget for the rest of the period. No restrictive rules — just a clear number so you can decide each day whether to ease up or carry on.
